Restaurants can benefit from a comprehensive waste and recycling management strategy. With the upcoming organic waste ban coming in Metro Vancouver sometime in 2015 there will be changes in the way that restaurants handle, manage and dispose of their waste and recyclable materials.

The National Restaurant Association (US) conducted a very comprehensive survey of both restaurant operators and consumers in the US regarding Restaurant recycling and waste management. Interested to note that only 13 percent had a composting/organic waste program in place.
